That one time I had a decent outfit...

This outfit was about 2 weeks ago when I was staying at Tom's. I am wearing:
Black leotard- Lipsy
Dagger print shorts- H&M
I love this leotard so much, it's good to have a plain black top to go with everything. This one is super good because its a leotard so it's stretched over your body and you don't get rumples on your tummy. My mum got me it as a random gift (it was in the sale, we're not loaded) but it has come in V handy!
I've tried not to buy clothes from high street shops over the summer, to save money but I really liked these shorts. To start with I don't have any white shorts and I thought it would make a change. Also I thought the daggers were cute, they match one of Tom's tattoos, hee, cute. I would also like to point out that my legs aren't burned they just like that way in these photos, don't know why.
In these pictures I have pink dip dyed hair (and a streak on one side) I used Directions hair dye for this, but I have to say it wasn't as good as I'd been expecting. It looks bright in these pictures but I had only dyed it the day before. I wouldn't recommend it. Not this shade anyway. Anyone had any better experiences with Directions hair dye?

Outfit of the day

Jumper- thrifted - £1
Shorts- thrifted and customised - £1
Vans- eBay - £3 approx

I got this school jumper from an indoor market in Wales, and it turned out that it was my friend's old school! Ha! I had wanted a school jumper for a while, one with an embroidered badge, and I really liked the colour of this one.
The shorts were originally a big pair of jeans, about 2 sizes too big for me. I cut off the legs to about the knee and then rolled up the rest of the material. I put in a few stitches at the insides and outsides of the leg, just to help keep them rolled up. Because the jeans were too big for me I really have to hoik these shorts in with a belt, but that's the look I wanted. I was thinking 90's style shorts. They look great with baggy tshirts and jumpers tucked into them.
The Vans were second hand off eBay, they are blue but very faded and have some fraying on the back of the heels. But I liked this about them, I hate when trainers are too new and white.

Vintage 2 piece set - for sale

Selling this on etsy: www.rosiebits.etsy.com
It's a matching blouse and skirt set, probably from the 70's. The brand is St Michael which is vintage Marks and Spencer, and it's a UK size 12. The skirt is a wraparound style :)
Enjoy!

Sand in between my toes

Today I went I the beach with my mum and some family friends. I love getting the sand on my feet so I fashioned a covering out of my hoodie and took off my tights! :) There were little rock pools and we collected types of seaweed! Nothing like finding sand in your shoes and pockets when you get home.... Or days later!

Cadwell Park

Hi, just got back from a weekend of camping at Cadwell Park and watching the British super bikes with Tom and his family. I've actually got quite into the racing now, it's intense when they're all so close together! It was really fun and I liked scranning on bacon butties in the caravan! Managed to keep the tent dry and free from bugs too; win!
On the Sunday night there was a charity cycle race and there were some great fancy dress costumes including two amazing minions! Think it might be Kevin and Dave? Aww.

Today I had my first proper spa treatment; oil & salt scrub. It felt really nice but was a bit tickly on my feet. Then we got to use the saunas, steam rooms, ice room, and outdoor jacuzzi. I feel smooth all over!

I love train journeys. Journeys where you surround yourself with your stuff and the small area of your seat and pull down table becomes your own little home for a few hours.

The end of an era...

Today I'm moving all my stuff out of my uni room. I can't believe that the first yeah is finished already, that's a 1/3 of my whole degree, weird. It's going to be strange not living at the precinct next year because I've got so used to it.
On the other hand I'm super excited about my new house, it's Victorian and really beautiful. Probably the most beautiful house I'll ever live in my whole life; I'll never be able to afford something that nice on my own.

Tuesday, 11 June 2013

Things are going pretty well at the moment. I officially finished my first year at university yesterday and I've passed it (yay). I'm home for about a week and it's great spending time with my Mum again, I'm also getting to see friends who I haven't seen enough of this year.
My Mum has found someone who's interested in me doing some babysitting for them, which will be brill for during the summer. My holiday is also getting really close now, only 3 weeks and 4 days now! Can't wait for that at all, it's going to be so hot and just generally fantastic.
Tomorrow I'm going to a friend's birthday meal, and on Thursday I'm helping out at a school because it's their sports day. The only thing that could be improved is seeing  Tom sooner, probably not going to see him until next week :(
