The Liebster Award

This is a really cool idea! I got nominated to do this by  Jodie so here we go :)

The rules:

1) Link the blogger(s) that nominated you

2) Answer the 10 questions your nominator has asked

3) Keep the chain growing by nominating 10 of your favourite bloggers who have less than 200 followers, and let them know

4) Create 10 interesting questions for your nominees to answer

My Answers:

1) If you could travel in time, where would you go?
- This is a difficult one to choose. I think probably to the 80's and I would buy myself loads of clothes and go to loads of parties with my well dressed friends. But I'd also like to go to ancient Egypt just to look around because I find them really interesting.

2) What make up item could you not live without?
- Foundation. I'm not confident enough about my skin to not wear foundation when I go out. I use dream matte mousse.

3) If you could only watch one TV show for the rest of your life, what would it be?
- Friends. Probably a boring answer but you just can't get sick off it. Plus there's a lot of episodes so you'd be able to spread it out more and make it last longer.

4) What's your favourite clothes shop?
-Probably Primark because it's so cheap and it gets a good rang of stuff in. Either that or this vintage shop in Newcastle which I think is called Best Vintage, it has all the type of vintage clothes I like and none of the stuff I don't (like longer formal dresses).

5) The best holiday you've ever been on?
Japan when I was nine. I went with my Mum and stayed with her friend who had moved there to be an English teacher. He helped us do loads of amazing stuff we couldn't have done without him. Like I got to take part in this parade/festival and join in a dance that one of the schools was performing in it. We also went to the Disneyland in Tokyo.

6) What would your idea of a perfect day be?
Me and my Mum watch some episodes of a programme we like in the morning while we have breakfast, then we both go and get ready. We go do a table top sale/market stall and we both manage to get rid of a load of stuff and make a decent profit. The weather's not too cold but not too hot either. On the way back we would stop at little Sainsburys and buy some snacks and treats, definitely one of those pizza swirls and a cheese twist from the bakery bit. When we get back in I'd make her a pot of tea and she'd make me a coffee because we're both better at making the other one's drinks. We'd spend the evening watching box sets and eating our snacks and chatting and sharing all our in jokes :)

7) What country have you never been to, but really want to visit?
Probably Australia because the weather's so nice and everyone goes on about it being an amazing holiday place.

8) Favourite band/artist?
All time low

9) If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be and why?
I would be my friend Maya from Wales because she is awesome at life. She has a really good attitude to everything and I love the way she interacts with people. I'd like to be able to do that :)

10) What 3 words best describe you?
Happy, Funny and Excitable.

My nominations:
8. holl JC

My Questions for you:
1. What is your favourite childhood memory?
2. If you were in a band what would it be called?
3. If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of you life what would it consist of?
4. If you could have met yourself as a child what advice would you give yourself?
5. What is your most embarrassing memory from high school?
6. What song gets you really motivated?
7. Who would play you in a film about your life?
8. If you could be an animal what would you be and why?
9. What is your favourite meal?
10. What is your favourite moment in a film and why?

Job interview - outfit post

I had a job interview on Tuesday so I thought I'd share my outfit in case anyone needed any tips on how to dress for a job interview or in case anyone even cares.

Blazer - Internacionale sale - £10
White vest - eBay
Cat skirt - H&M - £14.99
Brogues - Primark - £10 (I think)

Thanks for reading :) x

Black Lab

Hi :)
Today is absolutely freezing and my radiators are not coming on -.-
I had to leave the house today even though it's ridiculously windy and keeps pouring with rain at random points throughout the day. I had science, but at least I didn't have to cross the bridge to get there because yesterday I thought I was going to get blown off it. The charm of the North East everyone.
Outfit...
Checked shirt - hand me down - Topshop
Black Lab vest - o-mighty.com
High waisted shorts - diy
Grey wool tights - Primark
Converse - Office

BLACK LAB VEST
For anyone who doesn't know, this is a jokey version of Black Flag's logo (they're a band). They're one of Tom's favourite bands and Black Labradors are my favourite dogs so I thought this was an appropriate top to own. I also bought the other one which says 'Pug Flag' and has 4 pugs, because guess what... PUGS ARE MY SECOND FAVOURITE DOG! It just seemed too good to ignore that those two dogs were the two options for these tops. You should really check out the website because they have some amazing unique looking stuff! I want so many things from there, but I put myself on a ban today; I'm gonna try and not buy myself any clothes until Christmas. This is the website - o-mighty.com

DIY HIGH WAISTED SHORTS
I'm wearing these shorts again that I made. They used to be a big pair of Mom type jeans from Asda, but I got them for £1 from the charity shop. I thought I'd start off practicing on a cheap pair of jeans in case I messed them up.

VINTAGE RAIN COAT
The only good thing about it raining today is that I got to wear my new coat! I bought this in the summer holidays and this is the first chance I've had to wear it. I got it in the sale at a vintage shop in Newcastle for £20. It's so cute! The sleeves are a bit short but I don't care because I love it so much <3

Elephant necklace

Hi! This is Saturday's outfit post, sorry it's late
Cardigan -thrifted - £2.50
Fred Perry - hand me don
Shorts - diy
Leggings - Primark
Moon & Stars shoes - eBay - approx £4
Elephant necklace - diy

I got given this Fred Perry shirt off my Dad because it didn't fit him anymore, yay! Free clothes!

I made these shorts out of a big pair of cheapy jeans from the charity shop (£1). They're high waisted 90's style ones, really cinched in.

I found this plastic elephant charm in a box of Tom's stuff from when he was little. I bought some black cord and made it into a necklace. I love it so much and whenever I wear it it reminds me of Tom :)

90's inspired outfit

This was my outfit from Thursday night, I went out with my flatmates. It was rock night at Passion, which is the best night!

Bralet - Topshop sale - £3
High waisted shorts - diy - £1
Converse - Office

FLORAL BRALET
This is so cute! I got it in the topshop sale (it's from the petite section) and it was only £3! I really love the strap details too, which you can see better in the photo when I'm wearing it.

90's STYLE SHORTS
I made these shorts out of a pair of cheapy jeans. They were George@Asda ones that I got from a charity shop for £1. I cut them off to about the knees, then rolled them up and put in a few stitches at the sides to hold them in place. I wanted them to be the baggy style and then really cinched in at the waist.

1994 - outfit post

Hi, today I was in uni for one hour which was totally pointless. I also went to a recruitment day, which had already finished when I arrived even though it was meant to be on for another 4 hours :(
But I'm wearing my favourite t-shirt so I'm a bit happier
Harrington- belongs to Tom
T-shirt - Amazon
Glittery leggings - Primark
Moon & stars slippers - eBay

BIRTHDAY YEAR T-SHIRT
This is my favourite t-shirt! My mum bought me it for my 18th birthday, and it has the year I was born on it. Navy blue is my favourite t-shirt colour too and it's perfectly sized.

I've got the same leggings and shoes on as yesterday, you can read about them here.

Tom gave me this black harrington because it was too small for him and he has a new one now. It's no particular brand, but I know you can get ones just like this for fairly cheap on eBay.

I almost forgot about these shoes!

Today is my day off uni, and I'm spending it chilling with Tom.
I went to Wilkinsons and they had all their halloween stuff out! There was some proper cute little things, but I just bought some snacks for me and Tom to have today. They had their Christmas chocolate out too so I bought a big gift sized tube of pink smarties >.<
This is me today...
School Jumper - thrifted - about 70p
Glittery leggings - Primark - £7
Moon &Stars slippers - eBay- about £4

GLITTER LEGGINGS
These are definitely my favourite leggings at the moment, they're really good quality like they don't go saggy. And they're glittery! I've had them since last winter and they're still fine which is good seeing as they're only from Primark.

MOON & STARS SLIPPERS
Last year everywhere was selling those slipper/loafer shaped shoes, especially Topshop. I really wanted a velvet pair but all the ones on the hightstreet were too expensive for me. I tried looking on eBay instead and I ended up finding these. These are not slipper style shoes, they are actual slippers! haha :) They are like those old lady style ones you get that are velvet and really solidly built so they don't trip or fall. Because they have a solid sole (rather than foam) I can wear them out of doors, so I decided to just get them anyway and wear them as real shoes! :) I also bought a burgundy pair because they were so cheap and I thought I might as well stock up while they were available.

WELSH SCHOOL JUMPER
I got this in an indoor market when I was in Wales this summer. I had wanted a school jumper for a while, with the embroidered crest and everything. I really like burgundy colour too. After I bought it, it turned out that this was the old school jumper of my friend who I stay with in Wales.

GOLD FEATHER HAIR CLIPS
Accessorize - £2 for pack of two

Floral playsuit - outfit post

Today I've been in uni, printed about a million pages off and bought some fruit and veg. The riveting life that is me. Today I'm wearing 2 new things because I get over excited when I have new clothes and want to wear them all straight away.
Cardigan - thrifted - £2.99
Playsuit - vintage fair
Knitted leggings - Primark - approx £2
Converse - Office

ZIP-UP CARDIGAN
I got this Grandad style cardigan at the Salvation Army shop last week, I liked it because it had a zip rather than buttons and it didn't look too thick. I already have lots of chunky knit cardigans. It has nice deep pockets too which are perfect for dropping your phone into!

FLORAL PLAYSUIT
I got this at the vintage fair on Friday. It's not actually a vintage piece because the tag says 'Victoria's Secret'. I think it might be meant for pyjamas but I just thought it was cute. I know Summer is over so I shouldn't be buying things like this, but I styled it with knitted leggings and an oversized cardigan and I think it looks okay.

BLUE CONVERSE
I've had these for a couple of years now, they're really handy and go with anything. They're the second pair of converse I've had and I always get them in blue rather than black. I just love navy blue!

FULL OUTFIT

I've also put some new things on my etsy store this evening, I'd really appreciate it if you could have a look:

Perfect Princess - outfit post

I've spent pretty much all of today at Tom's house, watching criminal minds. I love that programme so much! Reid is my favourite, does anyone else watch it? :)
I'm just wearing a comfy outfit today because I wasn't going out or doing anything particularly fancy

Princess t-shirt - thrifted - £1
Jeggings - eBay - approx £3
Sports socks - thrifted - 50p
Jelly sandals - Juju Jellies

I got this Disney Princesses t-shirt at  charity shop the other day for only £1
It has glitter all over the picture and the writing says 'Perfect Princess'. It also says 'Florida' at the bottom so I think it must have come from Disney Land. I'm really happy that I found such a bargain!

I'm wearing my jeggings again, I think pink and light denim look so cute together!
This is the first time I've worn these socks and they're so white, I don't want to ruin them. I got them at an indoor market this summer, but they hadn't been worn before. They were only 50p.
As always I'm wearing my jelly sandals.

I LOVE DISNEY

Vintage Fair

Hi, yesterday my uni held a vintage fair as part of freshers week.It was £1 to get in, but the prices of the clothes were really good. Nothing had an individual price, you just paid £15 per kilo of clothes.
The fair was held in our student union which has a big dance floor area and when I went in I was just like 'eeeeee!' because the whole place was full of rails of clothes, like sooo much!
I was worried there wouldn't be much left because it was on 12-5pm but I only finished uni at 4 yesterday so I only went for the last hour. However it didn't matter because they'd obvi brought so much stock with them.

These pictures aren't really perfect, that's because as soon as I got home from the fair I pretty much dumped my stuff, changed my bags over and went back out to get the bus to Tom's. Before I left though I took a picture of what I bought so I could show him. So that's why the quality of pictures isn't great, and I only have one picture of each item.
Also, I'm going to be putting some of this stuff onto my esty store so keep an eye out!

PUMPKIN WAISTCOAT

KNITTED CHRISTMAS WAISTCOAT #1

BRIGHT ORANGE JUMPER

TAPESTRY BOOKS WAISTCOAT

KNITTED CHRISTMAS WAISTCOAT #2

PATTERNED WAISTCOAT

FLORAL PLAYSUIT

BEIGE PLAYSUIT
I am going to dye this black and wear it over tops like a pair of dungarees

GLASTONBURY STYLE JUMPER/DRESS

CHRISTMAS WAISTCOAT

CHRISTMAS IMAGE CARDIGAN

Altogether this came to £37.50 which I know sounds like a lot, but for how many things I got I think it's a really good price. In the vintage shops I usually go to in Newcastle the knitted stuff would probably be about £10 each. I bought 5 knitted items, so that would already be £50 which is more than I spent. And I got other things on top of that.

My bag was so full, the woman had to really stuff everything in there and then she had to cable tie the handles to keep it together. When I was walking home I had to carry it in two arms like a big vintage baby!

Let me know what you think if what I got please :)
