House party- outfit post

Last night I went to a group of my friends' house warming party. I find it really difficult to dress for house parties, I never know how dressed up people are going to be.
I decided to get a bit more dressed up than what I'd wear during the day to go to uni and stuff, but not as dressed up as if we were going out-out.
Black long sleeved leotard - Lipsy
Cat skirt - H&M
Glitter jelly sandals - Juju jellies (website)
Pink bandanna - Kazbat's Den

I love this skirt so much! It's got cat faces all over it. My Nanny bought me it from H&M this summer, I think it was £14.99. It's a skater skirt, and has a zip at the back. It's such a cute shape, the length is just perfect for me.
My top is actually a leotard. It's a Lipsy one and has 3/4 length sleeves. I love wearing this under high waisted skirts and shorts, because it stays smooth and doesn't get rumpled up the way a top sometimes does when you've tucked it into your waistband. I'm not a millionaire though, I got it in the sale section on ASOS, it only cost about £10.

Once again I'm wearing my jelly sandals. I'm sorry that these are the only shoes I ever seem to wear. They look so cute with black socks though! My anklets are from various holidays and places.

Ha Ha! How weird is my face, but I tried a different hairstyle for tonight, and wore a bandanna which I haven't done in ages. I brushed the top layer of my fringe and hair back, and tied it in a small ponytail. Then i put the bandanna on, but without any wisps of hair at the front. I don't usually have all my hair pushed back but I actually liked it.

Vintage Fred Perry zip up - Thrifted - £10.99
I was worried it might be cold at the other house, and also I knew we were going on a mission to Tesco's after the party so I wore my new Fred Perry jacket. I know it doesn't particularly go with this outfit but I was just excited at new clothes.

After the party we went to a new Tesco that's opened near us, it's sooo big! It actually has a whole gym inside it! It was like midnight when we went so it was really empty. I got these cute puzzle watches for £1. They were from the party bag section for kids. I have really little wrists so luckily they fit me, but I can't decide which one is my favourite! There's a cow, lion, pink dog, and tiger.
I also got cheese balls, potato sticks, and another Christmas present for my Mum. I just keep finding things that I think she'll like! She's gonna end up with so many presents and no one else will have anything /:
Has anyone ever tried potato sticks? You get them in the crisps ailse in a share sized bag (next to share bags of onion rings, cheese balls, bacon rashers, etc). They are the nicest things! I know you can definitely get them in Tesco and Morrisons. They are like tiny and thin so you get millions in a packet. Anyone potato stick rant over :')

Charity shop buys

Hi, here is the post for the things that I bought at the charity shops yesterday.
I looked in 3 or 4 shops, but I only bought things in Oxfam. It annoys me how expensive some charity shops are getting. I don't mind giving charities money, because it's for a good cause. But I do mind being asked to pay £3-£5 for a USED primark vest which was probably only £3 maximum when it was new.

Instagram gives me massively inflated expectations of the treasures that I will find, and the penny prices that they'll cost :(

However, I decided to buy a few things from Oxfam because my wanting them overcame my not wanting to pay the prices.

Vintage Fred Perry - £10.99
The first thing I found was this vintage fred perry zip up. It has the loral leaf up the arms. It was still more money than I wanted to pay in a charity shop but I thought because it was an expensive brand and vintage I could make an exception. This was in the man's section and is a size large, but will be perfect for layering over other things. Plus I like hoodies and cardigans to be baggy :)

Cream leather bag - £3.99

I got this satchel style bag, which has one of those hand-carrying handles on the top. The brand is Marc Chantal which I've looked up a bit, but I'm not sure how much this bag would have cost new. It's real leather though. It has lots of compartments inside which I like, and the fastening is so cute. You have to spin the catch through the hole. The leather is basket weave on the top flap, and the rest is patchwork.

I also bought a book for my Mum for Christmas, but I don't have a photo of that, sorry.

Sunday was sunny - outfit post

Hi, sorry I'm posting this a day late, but yesterday was my last free day before I went back to uni. It turned out to be really hot compared to the weather we've been having recently! I needed some black tights so I went into town with Tom, and although I was very strict and didn't allow myself to buy anything but tights in Primark, I did end up having a look round the charity shops and buying a few bits. After this I'll make a post to show you what I bought.
Checked shirt - Thrifted
Tshirt - Present
Glittery leggings - Primark
Jelly Sandals - Juju jellies (website)

This shirt was £1 from a charity shop, it's really cute because it has bits that have been patched with a similar looking material, and I think maybe a little Grandad's wife fixed it for him. It's really good for throwing on over an outfit if it's a bit too cold to have your arms out.
The t-shirt was a present from my Mum's boyfriend, its a Jaws t-shirt, as in the film about the shark. I love it because it has a nineties look, plus it's navy blue which is a fantastic colour for a t-shirt to be. Because it was a present I don't know where it's from.

This heart necklace is one of those ones you get out of those machines, where you put the money in and turn the handle and it comes out in a little pod. Tom's Mum got it for me when we went to an aquarium in Scarborough. It's hard to see in this photo, but it's made of stone (as in quartz, etc). It goes with any outfit.

DOUBLE GLITTER!
I'm wearing my jelly sandals again, I don't know why I never wore them over the summer, but not that it's Autumn I've started wearing them every day. Must be because I'm a massive pain. I think they look good with black socks because it shows off the glitter more. I'm also wearing my glittery leggings, because I thought the outfit wasn't already enough like a year 6 disco. All I need now is some body glitter and hair mascara!

I wanted Tom to take a picture of my face. I tried to do a slight pout rather than smiling all the time but I couldn't stop laughing when I looked at him, and he kept laughing when he was trying to take the picture. I now have about 20 photos on my phone of me with my face screwed up, similar to this one. Great.

Fancy Dress: 'Anything but clothes'

Hi, on Monday it was my house warming party at uni. It was fancy dress and the theme was sci-fi or 'anything but clothes'. I'm not that into sci-fi and the ideas I did have were going to cost quite a lot, so I decided to go for the cheap but fun 'anything but clothes' option.

If anyone watches Adventure Time you may notice that I took some inspiration from LSP.
This outfit was perf ad so so easy, here you go

YES! IT'S A PLASTIC BAG!
Obvi I still wore clothes underneath because it would have been rather see through, and it was inevitable that it would get torn off at some point during the night. I belted it in to add that stylish edge ;)
Rest of the outfit:
Batman dress - Amazon
Satchel - Beyond retro
Vans - eBay

Who thinks I was looking fresh to death in my new dress and purse?
Sadly I didn't make it home in my bag dress, it was lost at some point during the night, perhaps it went something like this?...

Luckily the night ended perfectly with a chicken box and cuddles with Tom :)

Making Autumn cute

Today me and my boyfriend went to try those new chicken nugget burgers from burger king, they are sooo nice! They taste like so much more than chicken nuggets in a burger. Also burger king has lush crisps. I'm happy today as well, because when I went to my Mum's at the weekend I fetched my tartan coat. It's time to wear it now for Autumn!
Tartan coat - River Island
I got this for my last birthday off my Mum. I love it so much! And it's reversible; the other side is also tartan but with cream as the main colour. I'm so pleased it's Autumn again and cold enough to wear it.You can't see because of my hair, but it has a cute rounded collar. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't have a hood and my ears get cold really easily and then I get ear ache.
Rabbit jumper - Miss Selfridge
This jumper was also a present so I don't know the price, I got it 2 Christmases ago. The wool is quite loosely knitted and it's sooo cosy and soft to wear. It's long enough to wear over leggings as well, and I've had it out so many times just since the start of September.

Shoes - Juju jellies
Socks - present
These are the jelly sandals without the heel, I've had them for about a year, and I love them so much. Jelly sandals were the best thing when you were a kid and they're so versatile. I love that they've come back into fashion. I think you can still wear them in Autumn, as long as you wear them with socks. I like having the see through ones because they can be worn with any colour, but they also have some glitter to make them interesting. My Gran got me these socks as a present, I chose to wear them with my sandals because they are bright and colourful and will show through.
Diary necklace - Thrifted - £1.99
This cute silver necklace is the shape of a little book and says 'Diary' on the front. I got it at a British heart foundation shop. I put it onto a different chain though, because the one it came on was too short for me.

Spiral bobbles/bracelets - Toki Yoki (Japanese shop) - 50p each
These spiral things are brilliant, they look like old telephone cords, and you can wear them as either bracelets or hair bobbles. The two I have are tartan/checked patterned. So good for 50p! Toki Yoko is such a cute shop as well. I don't know how many places they have shops in, but the one I go to is in Newcastle. They have Totoro backpacks and I want one so much, think it's gonna have to go on my Christmas list.

These are just some random photos Tom took of me. Most of our relationship consists of making weird faces at each other :')
